Ashmolean Museum Oxford
Jericho Coffee Traders
Jericho Coffee Traders are based at the heart of Oxford’s High Street in a building that was one of the first coffee houses in the city. Inspired by this heritage they have teamed up with the Ashmolean Museum, the world’s first public museum, to present this special heritage coffee.
In the seventeenth-century a shortage of small change currency pushed businesses to create their own illegal currency in the form of coffee tokens. To carry on this tradition, we would love for you to have a free coffee at our Jericho Coffee Traders espresso bar on the High Street, Oxford. Please exchange the token on the top of the tin for a coffee of your choice.
