Aphrodite Female Symbol Necklace

Tax included in product price. Excludes shipping, calculated at checkout

Inspired by ancient depictions of the goddess Aphrodite, this Venus symbol necklace is designed after the timeless emblem that combines geometric simplicity with rich symbolism. It's cultural meaning connects the powers of the astronomical planet, the mythological goddess, and the female gender.

This stylish necklace features a Cypriot ankh symbol found on several coins in the exhibition. Associated with love, beauty, desire, and fertility, the design has been used for centuries in astronomy and astrology to represent Venus.

This collection of Just Trade jewellery has been created exclusively for the special exhibition Aphrodite: The Making of a Goddess on display at the Ashmolean Museum between 8 October 2026 - 11 April 2027.

Using the special exhibition as design inspiration, this custom piece from the collection of Aphrodite themed jewellery is made from hammered brass by the Flowering desert project in India.
