Rachel Ruysch (1664-1750) was a renowned Dutch flower painter acclaimed for her distinctive style. She explored the delicate colours of botanicals with great precision, thus creating opulent bouquets worthy of the highest tradition of Dutch flower painting. Her remarkable career, spanning over six decades, made her the most documented female artist of the Dutch Golden Age.
