Hiroshi Yoshida (1876–1950) was the foremost Japanese woodblock printer of the early twentieth century. Educated in the style of Western painting using oils and watercolours, the artist eventually turned his attention to woodblock prints in the 1920s. These prints, characterized by a transparent and layered appearance, are reminiscent of watercolours in their beauty and detail. He was a prominent member of the Shin Hanga (New Print) movement, dedicated to revitalizing traditional ukiyo-e printing through the integration of Japanese methods and Western artistic styles.

Supplied unframed, this print comes with a backing board and is sealed in a clear cellophane pocket. Fits perfectly into one of our mini print frames.
