These gold-finished cufflinks take their design from the delicate blooms in Simon Verelst's A Vase Of Flowers, a treasured Dutch Golden Age painting. Perfect for adding refined artistic character to formal wear.
These Dutch still life gold cufflinks have been produced to accompany the special exhibition In Bloom: How Plants Changed Our World on display at the Ashmolean from 19 March to 16 August 2026.
This design is framed to mimic the outline of a blooming flower with refined gold accents to add a luxurious finishing touch, with a rotating oval back for ease of use. Comes well presented inside of an Ashmolean-branded leatherette display box with gilt accents. Making these a great gift idea.
The timeless floral shape is perfect for formal occasions and adds a touch of classic art history to your attire.
Simon Verelst (1644-1721) was known for his exquisite flower and fruit still life paintings, and was often referred to as 'the God of Flowers' due to his masterful renderings of floral arrangements.
Exclusive to the Ashmolean Museum.
