Zhi Que Flat Vase

£55.00

The Zhi Que flat vase is a beautifully detailed large porcelain piece featuring a graceful rounded ovoid shape with a slender yet sturdy neck. It is adorned with a charming design of a bird resting on blossoming branches.

The exclusive design taken from the museum's collection features a traditional cobalt blue on white colour combination, adding elegance to any space. Each vase comes packaged safely and securely with its own individual white carton transport box to protect against damage.

'Zhi Que' is reminiscent of noisy birds perched on the branches of blossoms on a clear spring morning. The design draws its inspiration from a large pilgrim bottle bequeathed to the Ashmolean Museum by the art historian Gerald Reitlinger. The original was made in China's porcelain capital Jingdezhen between 1720 and 1760.

Part of the beautiful collection of unique ceramic pieces, each one inspired by the Ashmolean Museum's extensive collection. A piece of history to take home.
