Ashmolean Museum Oxford

London Views Silk Scarf

£80.00

This pure silk scarf showcases the complete collection of Stanley Donwood's London Views linocut artworks, combining all fourteen original lino prints into a single, elegant full-length design on premium silk.

This scarf is part of the Ashmolean Museum's clothing collection accompanying the This Is What You Get: Stanley Donwood, Radiohead, Thom Yorke exhibition. The design of this scarf replicates the entire original series of fourteen woodcut-style prints that fit together to create a twelve-feet long picture of London. Featuring landmarks like The Gherkin, St Pauls and Big Ben, being destroyed by fire and flood. Part of this London Views series was used as cover art for Thom Yorke's debut solo album The Eraser (2006).

The elongated shape and timeless black and white colouring makes it a versatile accessory that can be worn all year round for various styling possibilities.

Woven in a specific pattern, the luxurious fabric of this scarf has both an airy texture and lightweight silky smooth feel. Made from pure Tabby silk, this silk is very delicate, and extra care needs to be taken when handling it.

Dry clean only.
