Ashmolean Museum Oxford
Satisfy your cravings with the tangy burst of citrus from these Lemon Bon Bon sweets. Carefully packaged in a charming glass jar, these delectable sugar dusted lemon flavour chewy treats make an ideal gift for those with a sweet tooth.
The classic look of this traditional sweet shop style confectionary is presented in a beautiful square glass jar. Which, in addition to being more visually appealing, is more functional than plastic wrapping, as it is reusable and more recyclable.
The top of each jar is wrapped with an exclusive Ashmolean branded lid cover featuring decorative colour-themed artwork taken from the museum's collections, and tied up with string to provide a pleasing vintage aesthetic. After enjoying the sweets, the decorative glass jar can be repurposed to store other treats such as homemade jams and chutneys, or to display flowers, candles, or whatever else you fancy!
The original artwork featured on this Lemon Bon Bon jar is from noted Victorian printing firm Day & Haghe, titled Narcissi. It was presented by John Ruskin to the Ruskin Drawing School (University of Oxford) in 1875, and then transferred to the Ashmolean Museum circa 1949.
Originally established in 1840 by John Farrah, all products are still all made in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
