A typical example of an ukiyo-e style work, this 1858 print depicts a seemingly serene landscape with two small human figures in the background, contrasting with the majesty of the stormy sea rushing onto the beach in the foreground. On the horizon is an iconic symbol in Hiroshige's painting, Mount Fuji.
