Bird on a Branch Print

£10.00

An 11 x 14" print of Bird on a branch (1886) by Ren Yi (1840-1896), ink and colour on paper.

Ren Yi, also known as Ren Bonian, was a Chinese painter and son of a rice merchant, who was trained in a portrait shop. Ren developed a popular, richly-coloured style for figures and, as is the case for this Ashmolean print, for flower-and-bird and landscape paintings. He became a leading artist in Shanghai by the 1870s.

Supplied unframed, this print comes with a backing board and is sealed in a clear cellophane pocket. Fits perfectly into one of our mini print frames.
