Wooded Slope with 4 Figures Greeting Card

£2.65
With a style influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, John William Inchbold (29 August 1830 – 23 January 1888) first began painting in watercolour in a free style. His first oil painting, shown at the Academy in 1852, showed the influence of the Pre-Raphaelite movement, and in 1855 he gained the enthusiastic praise of John Ruskin for The Moorland, which he painted to illustrate a passage from Tennyson's Locksley Hall.

Wooded Slope with Four Figures, depicted on this single greeting card, was produced in watercolour on paper, and now forms part of the Ashmolean's collection.

All Ashmolean branded cards packs are made from paper sourced from sustainable forests, and come in a biodegradeable cellophane wrap.

Buy 3 packs for £7.50. Mix and match offer available on all Ashmolean branded greeting cards, subject to availability.
