Suijin Shrine and Massaki Wooden Magnet

The Suijin Woods and Massaki on the Sumida River.

Taken from his famous One Hundred Famous Views of Edo series, Hiroshige has used the trunk and branches of the blossoming cherry tree in the foreground as a striking framing device for this peaceful view over the Sumidagawa, Edo's most important river. The Suijin Shrine, dedicated to the river itself, can be seen in the lower right-hand corner.

Printed on 4mm wood with an additional magnetic plate on the back, this magnet invokes vintage aethetics and the use of traditional materials.
