Metropolitan Museum Architectural Model

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870 by a group of leading American thinkers. They wanted to create a museum to bring art and art education to the American people. They certainly succeeded as the MET has become one of the most visited, significant and largest art museums in the world. Home to thousands of permanent and temporary installations and exhibitions the museum is a must see for anyone visiting the Big Apple.

Each architectural sculpture is handmade in Sussex, England. They are made of strong plaster that has a reassuring weight and smooth, cool feel. The window frames and door are made of etched brass.
