The Great Wave off Kanagawa is a woodblock print by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849).

It was published as the first print in Hokusai's series ""Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji"", and is one of the best recognized works of Japanese art in the world.
