Buddhist Notebooks

3 notebooks, 3 thinkers.

History is filled with some fascinating 'schools of thought' dedicated to tackling life's big problems in distinctive ways. This exquisite set of notebooks has been created in honour of The Buddhists.

Each notebook carries an introduction to a great Buddhist thinker on the inside front page, their name beautifully printed on the cover - and otherwise empty pages for your own projects.

Buddhists featured in these notebooks: Buddha, Guanyin, Ryokan. Plain, lined and gridded paper, one notebook of each.

Originating in Southern India around 2500 years ago, Buddhism is focused on an elemental question: why do we (and all people) suffer? Alongside physical harm, it draws attention to the role of our attitudes, desires and thoughts as causes of our distress: the agitations of envy, regret, obsession, compulsion and the misery of craving for what we do not have. Buddhism teaches habits of mind and conduct designed to enlighten us: to liberate us from desire by helping us to govern our mental activity and redirect our thoughts in more beneficial ways so we are not condemned to suffer.
