Apse of Duomo, Pisa Greeting Card

Stationery
£2.65

Presented to Oxford's Ruskin Drawing School, and now housed at the Ashmolean, the original watercolour image depicted on this single greeting card shows Ruskin's Apse of the Duomo, Pisa.

The drawing shows the Romanesque apse of the Duomo from the south-east: an arcade of tall, round-headed arches supports two open colonnades, one of round-headed arches, the other topped by very shallow curved arches. Ruskin has focussed only on the top of the ground-floor arcade and the colonnade above it; the rest is indicated very summarily.

All Ashmolean branded cards packs are made from paper sourced from sustainable forests, and come in a biodegradeable cellophane wrap.
