This elegant scarf boasts a striking combination of gold and black, with hand-rolled hems and intricately depicting a religious panel from the renowned Wilton Diptych. Painted at the end of the 14th century for King Richard II of England whose emblem was the white hart, by an unknown artist.
The painted portable altarpiece will be shown at The Ashmolean Museum from 10th May to 1st September, as part of The National Galleries: National Treasures project, part of their 200th Birthday celebrations.
